Cogging torque harmonics
WebJan 8, 2024 · The cogging torque is a magneto-static effect caused by the change in magnetic attractiveness and repulsiveness surrounding the rotor magnets during the rotation of the rotor itself. This torque causes ripple and noise hence, it must be reduced especially at small loads and low speeds. WebCogging torque harmonics only arising from calculation errors can be determined and the comparison of the calculated and the analytically determined cogging torque spectrum can be used for a qualitative evaluation of the calculation accuracy.

WebJun 30, 2024 · Cogging Torque Dynamic Reduction Based on Harmonic Torque Counteract Abstract: This article presents a method to reduce cogging torque in … WebThis confirms the assumption made in Section 3.2.2 that the DC offset in the FPM calculated cogging torque was caused by the saturation effect at loaded conditions. At the rated load condition, an extra harmonic appears to the cogging torque, as shown in Figure 17a. This 1st order harmonic caused the uneven amplitude of the cogging torque ripples.
WebMay 10, 2024 · To reduce cogging torque and torque ripple, several effective methods are introduced in this article, which are mainly based on the reduction or offset of corresponding airgap flux harmonics. The cogging torque reduction effects and torque performances of these methods are compared. Among them, newly proposed N/S-parts offset method is … WebJun 1, 2016 · Cogging torque is a type of reluctance torque, which occurs when the PMs on the rotor interact with the stator teeth and slots. When passing a stator tooth, the PM would be attracted by the stator tooth due …
WebThe cogging torque and back-EMF of the two motors are presented in Figure 19. It can be seen from Figure 19a,b that the 12th order of cogging torque harmonic T c is significantly reduced in motor SR-B, indicating the counteraction of uncertainties as expected. The peak-to-peak cogging torque is reduced from 95 mNm to 53 mNm with the assembling ... WebCogging torque is a pulsating, parasitic and undesired torque ripple intrinsic of the design of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), which should be minimized due to its adverse effects: vibration and noise. ... By the discovery of high- harmonic superimposed structure and it also reduced the performance Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets ...

Webrelated to the electromagnetic period of the cogging torque which is the 18th harmonic order, and do not exist in the design process. The fundamental component is related to the axis alignment with torque sensor. The harmonic components of the cogging torque (HC) can be divided into two components: native harmonic components (NHC) and AHCs. lan rttWebSep 16, 2024 · Cogging torque is a critical dilemma in Permanent Magnet Brushless DC (PMBLDC) motors. In medium-low power PMBLDC motors, redundant vibrations and forbidding noises arise as a result of the harmonic magnetic forces created by cogging torque.
